Just want to inform people who are thinking of starting on ebay about Ebays unethical use of your credit card. I signed up gave them my credit card number and started an Ebay store. Then you start getting nickle and dimed to death with this fee and that fee, subscription this subscription that, fees on top of fees, rip off exchange rates ect. ect.

Ebay doesnt want you to scrutinize these fees so under your account balances it gives you absolutely no details about what they are charging you for. If you click on invoice details it simply gives you more subtotals of subtotals. If you click on invoices it simply goes back to the orignal subtotals. So basicly you just go around in circles not knowing what you have been charged for.

After much frustration and getting dizzy trying to get to the bottom of fees I have attempted to close my account. Now when you click on close account they wont just charge the remaining balance and close it. No, no, no, you have to write to them to explain why you are closing the account. Thats the end of it right....WRONG. Then after waiting a few days they send you an email saying are you sure you want to close your account??? Then you have to tell them again yes I really want to close my account and why. So you do this AGAIN and thats the end of it right....WRONG. Then they delay the closure a couple more days and send you another email saying..oh we cant close your account because you have subscriptions you have to cancel first (example: store statistics). So now you have to go back to you account and cancel your subscriptions and write to them once again to close the account.

I am still waiting for a reply from them from this last one, I cant wait to hear what BS I get from them next.


Its very obvious they make this as difficult as possible and delay the process so that:
1.) You will get frustrated, run out of time trying to deal with these idiots and forget about it only to be charged again for who knows what.
OR
2.) They delay the process long enough for the billing cycle to come around again so that you will be billed again.

It may only be a few dollars but spread out over thousands and thousands of customers EBAY profits millions by these unethical business practices.

Oh and if you try to remove your credit card from the account forget it, they are now in charge of your credit card and will do what ever they damn well feel like.

I would think twice about giving these scumbags any credit card or bank info because once you enter Hotel EBAY you can never leave!!!
