Have you ever fell for a spoof email, or almost entered your details into a spoof site?

Very early on in my ebay career, i fell for one. I don't think I would these days.

I think that I must have fallen for a Spoof email, although I am not 100% sure. I had £500 taken out of my bank account from an overseas gambling company, turns out this was fraud and it's possible they got my details via a spoof email. As I said I am not 100% certain but it's certainly possible, with hundreds of spoofs every day it's getting way too easy to fall for them, I've resorted to deleting all emails and just using the ebay messaging system.

I have not, however I had a scammer send me $1,800.00 and when I tracked down the owner of the bank account I found she was a victim for a spoof / phishing email. I don't know how many fall for it, but I think the number would probably be alarmingly high!

I have not fell for anything yet and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I just sold an item for over $200 and stated that I would only ship to the lower 48 states in the US and the buyer asked me to ship to Honduras. I just responded to his request that I would only ship to the US. I hope this is not a scammer!
