I have a few questions if not too late.

For Brian: Whats the best method of selling ebooks on ebay, and what tips + tricks should I follow?

For Steve: Do you use your reviews to publish on other sites apart from ebay?

Sorry for picking this up so late!

I have recently set up a website to sell a niche product for Chinchillas, which came about through a personal interest in the animal. One of my guides covers the ownership and husbandry of the pet, and is subsequently attached to my off-eBay sales page.

Again, the guide provides a good degree of credibility to the product I sell, and looking at web stats it is being viewed by at leats every other visitor to the sales page. If only I could incorporate a voting button on that as well!!

Since the interview was printed I have been looking more in to the whole "articles" scene - something that I know Mark is familiar with! ;-) As soon as some of my fingers are removed from the many pies in which they are currently stuck, it is an avenue I would like to explore further.

Mark,

Any plans afoot to contact some of the high-volume tangible goods sellers such as Gowingstore, or DrSteveW? (no relation, although he is local to me!)

My questions would be - how do they organise the logistics of the operation (listing, processing and packing orders, payment chasing etc), obviously they are beyond a "spare- bedroom" operation like many of us, but how many people do they employ and how much hands-on work is required by them personally?

And also how do they maintain sustainable profitability on the fees incurred with such high volumes of sales?

Steve,

Sure - I'll try to arrange interviews with some of these high volume sellers. Our first interview was with Robert Frechette, who is one of the biggest sellers on eBay but this concentrated more on the potential of eBay than the subjects you mentioned.

Watch this space...
