Many members have a dependence on eBay - or have goals of looking towards eBay to earn a full time living. However, no one has ever claimed eBay is perfect.

What do you love and hate about ebay?

I love ebay as I can make a living online, and easily create a list of happy customers across the world.

I hate ebay live chat support as they always seem to be passing the buck and saying they will have to pass the issue onto safe harbour.

I'm just taking my initial footsteps in eBay, I guess I love the idea of getting rich the fast way!
On a more serious note, I hope it helps me make a decent side income...

I love the fact that within 10 minutes I can have access to a marketplace that is phenomenally huge and covers the entire globe (give or take a little bit). I have sellers fighting (read bidding) to get at my items and I can do this all from the comfort of my own home. Its a business within a box.

What do I hate, nothing. I don't even mind the fees!!

...I really dislike non paying bidders.
Why do they do it?

Love the fact that I can earn a buck instead of watching crass t.v. programmes.

The one thing I hate about Ebay is the ever increasing prices to list products on their auction. Love making money on it though.

I love the huge market it makes available, and how much more organized and useable it is than, say - Craigslist, which is what we'd have to try and deal with if it wasnt' for eBay.

I hate eBay's affiliation with PayPal and I hate the arrogance with which eBay allows their line-level operations people to make inconsistent and arbitrary (yet binding - at least on the parties directly involved) policy decisions. Oh - and I really, really hate the new SYI (Sell Your Item) form and the fact that they're going to stop allowing people to use the old form shortly. SUCKS!

Hey, that's great! Hope I get pleasantly surprised like this someday! How's the membership expitlad?

This forum really helps...I've learnt so much just by reading through all the posts, if I win prizes for contributing whatever little I know, that's even better!

I love how I can sell anything I would ever want on eBay...LIKE: The fact that I am selling Britney Spears' soul on eBay! It was also featured on our local Chanel 9 CBS news and on GoofyAuctions.com!!! Hope you think it's funny!

One of the things that eventually turned me away from eBay is the absolute marketplace saturation level. When I first started out, I could get a fair price for an item. In the end, there were sellers who clearly had no intention of making any money, did not consider their own costs, and simply desired to be eBay "sellers". Poor business people, with no vision towards any real bottom line. They moved in, in many categories, and destroyed the marketplace.

Case in point: China. I sold quite a bit of china on eBay. High end tea cups and saucers, and they would fetch a fair price. Next thing you know, there were sellers letting them go for a buck, using the pic pack, and undercutting the shipping price.

I figured there could only be one reason for this, and clearly, these people weren't interested in making any real money. That is about when I gave up on eBay.

I love Ebay because I can buy really cheap books and DVDs there! I also love it because I can actually earn from my old stuff.

What do I hate about eBay? Well, I really don't hate it. I am mostly a buyer and haven't experienced something really bad.

I love it when I can find items cheap, then sell them on at a profit!

I hate when I ever need to contact Customer Support...

I love ebay because if I need something I can generally find it at a good price after say 10 minutes surfing.
Going odwn the town to search through the local shops would atke an afternoon or even all day if I wanted to compare the prices in several shops.
One thing I hate is that paypal seems to rule in the majority of sales as the payment method.
