Lately i have seen weird users bidding on ebay auctions, dramatically increasing the auction price, and bidding over and over without being outbid all their usernames are something like:

j***a

g***p

e***m

I can never see their user information and mostly they have 0 feedbacks or if they have any feedback their feedbacks cant be seen. also I notice they bid on multiple items at the same time.

Whats is this suppose to be does anyone knows ?

is this some kind of scam spam or something ?

I typical scammers trick - if they win you will normally see an email saying that the funds have ben placed into an escrow account, or an email saying the payment has gone into your paypal account, but the postal address will be Nigeria, South America, Russia or increasingly the Netherlands.

Needless to say these are fake, no such escrow account exists, and if you log into paypal (not using any of the links in the emails received), there will be no money in there.

I guess you are selling something like an ipod, satnave, mobile phone or other desireable item, so it is best to set you buyer requirements quite tight. You may put off some bidders, but given this market you are best to protect yourself as best you can.

Block "Buyers in countries to which I don't ship", and also "Buyers without a Paypal account" as a minimum, and decide your settings for the feedback, bidding amounts etc.

As steve says avoid them like the plague, its automated sign up scripts attached to scammers and so you will never see any return...
