Hi Everybody,

I'm new to the whole Ebay Entrepreneuring, but i am keen to get into it. I currently have around $500 to spend and around 15 legit copies of windows XP pro to sell.

From here i am simply lost. There is so much information out there i don't know where to go from my intial steps. From what i can gather Dropshipping is what i want to get into, but i have no idea what are good products to start on, good dropshippers ect.

I live in Australia, and would prefer to try and work with australian suppliers at least intially. I am really keen to get into this and am a fast learner. Any/all advice that some ebay veterens could offer would be extremely helpful :)

Looking forward to a reply.

Dan.

Welcome to the site! I do not have any information about drop shippers, but you can search here and there should be some discussion.

Hi Dan,

I'm also an Aussie, and would also be interested in any info about Australian dropshippers. If anyone can help, particularly someone who uses and can recommend a company, that would be great.

Thanks!
Penny

Here is my advice for all beginners:

1. You are not the first one, who starts to make a living by selling goods on eBay - so do your homework first

2. Avoid highly competitive categories, e.g. electronics

3. The secret on making money on ebay is, to buy goods cheaply - To do this you need a) great connections to a wholesaler or b) lots of money to get great discounts or c) the right idea at the right time

4. Do not follow any me-too strategies - you will not be successful

5. Do research, what is currently hot in general but not fully covered on ebay. Do not give up, this is a long process

Have great success!

I'd be careful with googling dropshippers - for some reason, dropshipper lists seem to be scams pretty often.

But I don't know Australian dropshippers neither, sorry about that.

If I were you, I'd contact www.worldwidebrands.com and ASK THEM whom they'd recommend for Australia.
