Scam backfired for this deadbeat seller

Warn others of the latest scams here, whether eBay or concerning any online site.

You've probably already heard about this one, as it's been splashed all over the front pages over the last few days.

If you've ever had the misfortune to be ripped off on eBay you'll find this hilarious. Thankfully, fraud on eBay is still very rare however one buyer who purchased a laptop in November was a little upset when it wasn't quite as described.

Firstly, it took over two months for the seller to send out the laptop. Really, this is bad enough by itself but with the added insult that the laptop wasn't working, it was a lower memory than as advertised and it was missing a vital DVD-RW.

Well, this buyer took things into his own hands when the seller refused to co-operate and refused a refund. He simply published a blog, of the contents he found on the hard drive.

Check this out, it will be the funniest thing you've seen all year.

It's fair to say the seller has now gone into hiding, from embarrassment of having his private life featured online, and in almost every national newspaper.

The site has already had over 2.5 million views in the past ten days.

Similar story here, one lost "sidekick" in a cab. I'll let them tell the story so far. This is FUNNY stuff, another Amir!

The people in the pictures below have my friend’s T-Mobile Sidekick. Instead of doing the honorable thing when finding someone’s phone in a taxi, they instead kept it.

I have found 8 cell phones in the last couple years in taxis. EVERY single one I have contacted the owner (by leaving a message on their voice mail or by answering their phone and telling their friends that I have the phone) and returned it promptly. When people have found my phone, they have also in turn returned it.

When my friend realized that she had left the Sidekick in the taxi she asked me to immediately send a message to the phone saying that we would give a reward for the phone. There was no response. After a day of waiting, she had to go to the store and spend over $300 on a new Sidekick. When she put her SIM card in, she saw that the person(s) that had taken the phone had not only signed on to AOL leaving their name and password in the phone, but they had taken pictures of themselves.

I immediately contacted the AOL name: Sashacristal8905 and requested that the Sidekick be returned. I was immediately told that my “white ass” didn’t deserve it back. That she was not a “white bitch” (my friend who is a blonde white girl had pics on the phone this person had obviously seen) stupid enough to return a phone she found. After lots of threats, she said she and her boy would wait for me at:

Yes, I read about lap top guy a long time ago and I laughed out loud at his diligence and mockery of the guy that ripped him off.

This is one of the funniest Ebay stories I have read about. I have read a few and this one is great.

I didn't quite get what happened in the T Mobile story. Did anyone get the phone back or what? Was it auctioned off?

It is very good when people who do wrong, get wronged in return. Hopefully this will deter all scammers who intend to do this to people in the future from doing it of all, for fear of what might happen.

Sweet. However, always pay with Pay Pal! You are covered with Pay Pal.

NOTE: Did you know that the biggest mistake new eBay sellers make is that they forget to use the 80/20 rule? Send me a message and I'll tell you more.

Did he really think he was going to get to hide, I have a little adage here I don't know if it was ever posted before but, I was sold a simple wrist splint by a seller just recently I thought I was getting what was described , a left handed splint, needless to say I got a right handed splint ...lol I was lucky enough to get my money back but took notice on the way he shipped the item.
OK the item was sold with the listing stating it was from Texas, I got the package from Florida, Not to mention it was sent by USPS media mail  Now for sure this was no book or paper, well it only took a few more packages sent out by media mail and being alot heavier he was turned in by his own customers, oh well I wonder if that will teach him a lesson guess he may have to sell on Craigs list from now on.

Hi ace welcome to the best forum on the internet, :-D
New/old scam for sellers to be aware of!
Always use a tracking system to keep track of all your shipped items, It may cost a dollar or two depending on how you ship, but in the long run will help protect your earning from bad customers claiming they never received their package.
If you sell expensive item's always include in your description that the package will have to be signed for when delivered, this will protect you and paypal will always back you up and won't let this happen, and the scammer will no longer look for items you may sell cause he is out for the one's he can take advantage of.
