Hi gang,

I've been buying for 10 years on ebay and am now about to start selling off some of my stuff. I have recently lost a lot of weight and have to sell all of my clothing. I have given bags and bags to goodwill but have a lot of things that are really nice and I'd like to be able to sell them to help fund a new wardrobe.

My questions are about how to best sell off over 300-500 items in a way that doesnt drive me crazy or break the bank.

I guess I need to find a listing service like Auctiva or Inkfrog to help automate the similar listings for things like:
shirts
pants
hats
etc...
without having to retype all of the individual listings.

I know that they have a one free relist policy but I can't imagine everything selling the first time or even second time listing.

How to I maximize my sales and relist fees or is there a way around that through a service (ie...pay $3.00 and it lists till it sells) vs having to pay to relist each time. I know that I can list up to 100 items /mo at .99 with no fees but how does that work with relisting?

What about a 30 day fixed price listing as an option? Are there any tricks/tips you can offer about how to best sell off all of these items without getting killed in fees? that is simple to maintenance?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions. I would love any insight that experienced sellers could offer about where to find good forums, good books or websites that are current and aren't scams. Most of what I find via google just seem like shady ebooks from people looking to abuse the Ebay system vs. maximize the opportunity.

Thanks again,

With eBay's new listing and store policies, it may be wise to consider opening an eBay store. I think you'll find this quite helpful>>> Alice, our writer/eBay expert recently wrote a blog about opening an eBay store and its advantages...

Also, it would be wise to take a look at similar items on eBay and completed listings, and see whether there is a market for what you've got. Although clothing has always been a big hit! Otherwise, the time and cost of listing will mean you end up losing money.

Another alternative would be to sell it at a local flea market, where a lot of vintage-clothing lovers or shoppers go!

Hope this helps! Cheers :)
