Let me describe the process that I have gone through trying to sell an Iphone 3G and see if anyone has had similar problems. Maybe I can help some avoid the hassle.
My first listing was canceled (I had no original pic and my user name wasn't displayed) I had to relist. It's not that big of a deal but time is money! If customer service would have looked at my account they would have seen that I have a long history of selling phones. 100% positive feedback. Sold a similar item just days before.
My second listing I had a potential buyer that I had been e-mailing. They wanted the phone to be sent to Indonesia. I contacted customer service about where the phone was to sent.
The customer used Buy It Now and payed.
THE FUNDS HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD IN PAYPAL AND CANNOT BE REMOVED UNTIL THE CUSTOMER LEAVES POSITIVE FEEDBACK OR DELIVERY CONFIRMATION IS ESTABLISED! YIKES
No big deal right? That's what I said until I found out that delivery confirmaiton can't be established abroad. I specifically asked customer service about the item and where it was going to be sent. They never said a word about funds being put on hold and the criteria to remove the hold. I never would have agreed to send the phone to Indonesia if they told me that the funds were going to be put on hold and what's necessary to remove the hold.
SO be carefuld about selling Iphones!! Only agree to sell domestically, there is no protection if you send the phone International. I thought I had done my homework by talking to customer care about the item and where it was being sent.
Anyone experience similar problems |
