Ordering Items From China

Warn others of the latest scams here, whether eBay or concerning any online site.

I recently ordered an item from China and they said the shipping time was 6 to 8 weeks by boat. The air charged where huge so I opted for the standard boat fare, but not happy about the wait time.

I waited for almost the 8 weeks and since I never received the item or any return emails, I filed a claim with paypal. They fought the claim saying it might take 8 weeks to receive the item, which is beyond the paypal claim limit - and they know this.

Hence, there is no way to protect someone from buying scams from China whent hey tell you that it will take so long to recevie the item. And ebay/paypal doesn't really care.

yes you agree there are many scams coming out of China, that is why I suggest you email the company firstly and ask to speak to them via telephone, then do some more homework on the company your buying from, can they let you contact any other customers that have bought from them for reference... regarding shipping goods if shipped by sea you should recieve copies of all shipping documents with tracking numbers in advance, also via courier service there should be a tracking number provided to avoid long delays and not knowing when your order is due to arrive........

I ordered Nike shoes one time and actually never got the item I ordered and then had to file a fraud report!

When one realizes this: Do not repeat the mistake.
We learn from our mistakes, but it is always better to learn from someone elses mistake ;-)

I actually experienced this once also. However I did not proceed with the transaction because I was talked out of it by my brother. He said that it was a scam so I should just look for another supplier.
