I bought a Car for $5000 and though it was a great deal.
It was supposed to have 10 months rego and so one would assume that it would be completely road worthy, that and the fact the guy said it was in good condition.
He mentioned a few body faults and showed them in the photos and he had over 120 pos FB
but it turned out he was listing for a friend when i started to claim the next thing i knwe his account was closed (either by him or ebay)
anyway I have been going on with ebay for 6 mths now and everytime o tried to contact them i got someone new and i ad to tell the story over again.
Anywway finaly next week the independant insurance company is going to come for a look at it.
I have to have quotes for all the reapair thought and the panel beater said $60 for a quote, which is great if i get my claim ($2500 body damage) and there are elecrical faults and air bag alarm fault and agian it will cost me $60 for the quote.
Here is my question, has anyone every received a claim like this? I dont want to fork out more money if i wont get any back! |

That is really bad especially with electrical faults as I have bought cars before which are described as needing body work and they sure do, but that is what I expected.
Panel beating is really expensive though so even a small job turns out to cost a lot so it is best to check over the car first.
Sounds very familiar about ebay supprot services I thought they were supposed to be there for situiations exactly like this, because it would seem pretty obvious the guy will set up under another username and possibly do the same again. |

yes i think ebay are too big for their boots.
They are on top of the pile and so they can afford to treat peole poorly.
but remeber the roman empire!
nothing is too bit to fall (Except God of course )
i would like peole to loose faith in them and they go down, Yeh |
