hello,

i am new here but i have been reading the forums here for a while.

i just dont understand why people continue to sell and buy on ebay, considering all the problems that they have? they are a selfish company, yet no one has been able to topple them from their monopoly in online commerce.

what do you guys think are their primary strengths?

i think it is their feedback system. it gives credibility to the buyer and the seller.

i would really like to hear what you guys think.

Well, they've been changing their feedback system lately, and I don't think they have too many fans of all their changes.

However, they have spent years creating their HUGE reputation, so it's harder for other sites to gain the traffic and sales that they have. So, I think they're still doing well is because they have the traffic, the sellers, the buyers, etc.

But, more alternative sites are popping up, so I hope that these sites will prosper and lure many ebayers away.

If EBay's new CEO keeps up with the high fees, a lot of people might try and find alternatives.
