Well 2007 is now upon us and I was wondering if people have decided to change their Ebay strategies......

are you looking to new products?
have you supplemented your ebay site with a website of your own?
are you running an ebay store?
decided to increase your promo activities?

etc etc...

From my perspective I only use Ebay as an advertising medium and I have recently been impressed with the volumes that are landing and converting on my sites so I am increasing my Ebay sales (all pretty much LOSS LEADER products). I have stepped from 50 auctions a week to close to 300 in order to correlate what effect this is actually going to have, it mat be I drop the numbers and go more target specific etc...

Anyway lets have your thoughts....I am looking forward to a great Ebay 2007 :)

Thats quite a few auctions to end weekly AuctionMan. My ebay plans in 2007 are:

- Completely redevelop my ebay shop and listings
- Rewrite my ebay maximum profits mini course
- Become the number #1 author in the auctions category section over at http://www.ezinearticles.com (i'm currently number 2)

amongst others. What have other members got instore for 2007.

Ooo

After reading Mark's, my main goal now is to reach number 1 spot on ezinearticles in the Auction's category :)

http://www.ezinearticles.com/?type=txca ... e:Auctions

I'm currently 6th but think I can reach well over 100 articles by the end of the year

I challenge you Mark Kenny!

As well as your house, car, possesions and all your money

I wish you luck :)

I will open an ebay store this year and try to increase my sales. I also want to qualify & register as a trading assistant, so I can expand my listings.

Ooo hello Mark and other members

It appears that Mark has been slacking and hasn't noticed me creeping up on him. I'm just 16 behing him now after writing and submitting about 14-15 articles in the last few days.

Give me a few more weeks and I'll be above him with ease :)

Whatcha gonna do about that then eh Mark?

I await your comeback!

PS. I plan on writing a load more articles over the next few days so you best keep on your toes.

James ;)

Congrats on your recent submissions James. Glad to see your still up for the challange :-D

I did check the site last week, but saw us both in the same position. I guess you've been busy in the last few days.

I can see from your bio at ezinearticles.com that your top auction articles has got a decent amount of views, with 1150. Not a bad accomplishment. Just slightly behind mine, with 41888 views. Good job we're not doing this on page views. :-D :-D

Unless you've just been refreshing the page?

Probably the latter ;)

Yes - remember the F5 button is your friend ;-)

Seriously though, the article was submitted on 01/01/2006 & it immediately picked up massive page views.

I can see you've been busy again today. Only 18 behind me now. :-)

Yer, I bashed out 3 articles when I had nothing to do.

At this rate you'll of lost by the end of Feb

In all seriousness, I wouldnt have written a lot of these articles in the last few days if it hadn't been for this challenge so if anyone is struggling for motivation then find someone and make a challenge with them.

I have to agree 110% with James on that. I submitted a handful the weekend, and only because of this thread. If your looking for motivation to help your ebay or online business succeed, then as James suggests try setting a challange with someone else.

Apologises for being away and not updating this thread on the results of my Ebay experiment, things are just chaos at the moment so much so that I haven't even had chance to sort my own forums sessions problem!!!

Anyway back to topic....

As I stated I have upped my auction frequency using the Loss Leader approach and have seen some really interesting results, every single one of my websites I have used has had a minimum of 200% increase in traffic!!

I am running 300 auctions every 7 days and targeting 30 of my websites, the lowest increase has been a 208% traffic increase (www.gollycollectors.com) - site has very little content also and is being used to see the aff result from traffic jumps etc. My biggest has been a whopping 1125% increase (www.musthavemobilephones.co.uk). Associated revenue etc has also seen a substantial increase of circa 300% (combined income).

A few more experiments to come but the general idea is that using Ebay simply to sell goods is missing the point!!

ALSO

Can anyone join the Ebay article challenge? I will not be able to do anything for a couple of months but I have quite a lot that are ready to go with a bit of finishing and tweaking.....
