Hi everyone. I'm still working on this extension but I'd like to know what other ebay users
think of it before I upload to the Firefox Add-ons site, and since I read here a lot I thought I'd ask here.

It simply adds a site map of ebay to your context menu as seen in the pictures.
It gives you quicker access to navigate eBay and other related tools using your right-click context menu. If you're concerned about security dont worry, You do not log in using it and it dose not record info or anything like that. It is just mainly a collection of links in a form of easy access. I use it for finding the category I want to sell in and the many fast advanced search options and links to other sites like ups, usps, fedex tracking and html tools, etc.

I've been testing it for a while and found no bugs but mainly want to know what other tools would
make this more useful to users. Please give me feedback if you try it out because I spent some time
on it and would like to improve it if possible. :-D

Updated: New Link Download eBayBuddy0.1.2007.xpi Here

I've just installed it & it's pretty neat. Seems to cover almost every link on eBay with a few clicks of the mouse.

Do you plan international versions, for users such as ebay.co.uk and ebay.com.au.

How about a fraud/report button when you come across a phishing site?

Thanks Mark. A fraud report button is a great idea, I'll work on that. :-D I thought about international versions but haven't decided yet. There's so many that would be a lot to do, lol. I'm even wondering if ebay would make me change the name and then what I'd change it to.

You made that NikkiK? Oh that is so nice. You have skills.

I downloaded it already but I don't know how to install it. I have installed other extensions before but I downloaded those from Tools>Add-ons. Can you kindly teach me how to install the eBay extension? Thanks in advance.

Hi Farrah.
"To install, just download it to your desktop then drag and drop that file anywhere into your firefox browser." It should then pop up a box asking if you want to install it. That's it. I hope that helps, If not let me know. Thank you so much for your sweet compliment.

Nice. Is it possible to put it at the bottom of the menu, instead of the top - or have it as an option in the status bar.

Not in this version but I'm working on that for the next one. I'm also adding a paypal menu and making the my ebay button cascade like the rest of the menus. Any other ideas? Thanks k700.

Thanks Mark.
Good idea. I was emailed by two people asking me to build one specifically for there sites.
Now I just need to figure a fair price to ask.

Here are a few features for the next update, mostly suggested here. One of them is a way to search each international ebay one by one or all in one click. Also a paypal menu and adding a menu to the my ebay button. I'm maybe going to make it an option to install it as a toolbar button. I'd also like to add a way to report phishing sites but haven't figured out what to report them to. Any suggestions Mark or anyone?

Any other ideas, I'd love to hear.

Well the firefox report web forgery button reports spoof sites to google in the following format

http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?tpl=mozilla&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com
%2Ftools%2Ffirefox%2Ftoolbar%2FFT2%2Fintl%2Fen%2Fsubmit_success.html&
hl=en-GB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.SPOOFSITENAME.com%2F

with SPOOFSITENAME.com obviously taking the space of the spoof url.

However, I'd say most of the above is just referal info as the following seems to work.

http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?tpl=submit_success.html
&hl=en-GB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.SPOOFSITENAME.com%2F

Hopefully you'll be able to grab the spoof page url and insert it into this url to report the page to google, opening the report spoof site page in a new tab when the users selects the report button. Hope your able to make use of this information.
