But now I use an eBay Sniper Site called GavelThief (www.gavelthief.com) and it's much better. Not only are they reliable and friendly, but they offer many more features like:
- Bidgroups with Contingency Bidding so I can create rules (ex: If I win x, then bid on y).
Bookmark Sniper (Many snipers have this feature but theirs is the best IMO).
SMS Text Alerts (If I get outbid I get a text message and I can raise my bid from my cell phone).
RSS Feed (This is a pretty nice feature)
Package Tracker (When I win an item, I can track it from the site on a Google Map.
Live Countdown (rather than having to refresh over and over again)
I typically set my lead time at 3 or 4 seconds and honestly it's never missed the mark by more than 2 seconds. If I had to guess I'd say it's right on the mark about 85% of the time. I've never had it miss a snipe.
For me, customer service is very important. GavelThief has a Live Chat feature. When I first joined, this was extremely helpful. Now I don't really have any questions so I don't have to use the Live Chat very often, but it's nice to know they are there if I need them.
Take it from someone who's been there. Try GavelThief.
