Multiple Ebay Accounts?

I have been buying on ebay for several years and have a really good Feedback Score: 69 / Positive Feedback: 100% .

I have a bunch of stuff I want to sell but I am afraid of gettting "unjustified" bad feedback from a "problem" buyer and ruining my score.

Should I set up a second account just for selling?

Is that a good idea?

Hi,

Having multiple eBay accounts is recommended. Many eBayers have more than one account - especially one for buying and one for selling. It's within eBay rules so you should have no problems.

Mark,

Thanks for the advice.

I will set up another account this weekend and give it a try.

Just a thought... with your already awesome record, you may want to use it since it shows you already have a presence in the ebay community and your rating is top notch? just a thought.

It's a good feedback score but its almost all from buying and not selling.

I have set up a second account but have yet to list anything. Perhaps if I don't think I'm getting bids being a new account, then I will try again under my current account.

Thanks for the suggestion. Makes sense too.

You should have a few accounts, but be sure not to cheat by bidding on your own auctions with different accounts to up the bbid. It's not ethical and you can get caught.

Plus its a federal crime to alter the bid or to work with others to sway the bidding. Dont believe me look it up. Many of folks sitting in the pen for this.

Interesting. Charged under the Sherman Act for Conspiracy.

During the period covered by this Count, stamps of substantial value were bid for at public auctions at which the defendants and co-conspirators rigged the prices bid.

Dare I ask why you had this court case bookmarked?

I would use the original account. If you list your item as honest as possible, with picture and exact shipping charges and any other fees. Most people will not leave negative if you are selling nice things and tell them exactly how much everything will be.

I don't think their is a specific part of ebays help about multiple accounts. However, ebay have mentioned on numerous occasions that users are allowed more than one account.
