Maybe the trademark owner has their eye on you and that is why you got the warning.

Be very careful. I have had this happen to me and I was sent a letter from the company saying that they will sue me if I used their phrase. This happened when I first started selling becuase I was desperate to make a sale. The company never took legal action against me, but it did wake me up and kept me on my toes when selling.

Be sure to watch your items and make sure they are not hurting the reputation of another company.

It's sounds like a VeRO infringement - a lot of businesses and trademark owners either object to having their product market share, image and price diluted on eBay. I recently had a slapped wrist under VeRO rules for selling my old TomTom satnav system - the software is only sold on a single user licence, therefore selling it second hand is against the terms of the purchasing agreement.

A lot of fashion and costmetic companies have strict distribution deals in place, and if their products end up on eBay they will often report them. The manufacturers have a duty to their distributors to ensure that any deal between them remains protected.

There is loads to read up on Vero so start here - http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/programs-vero-ov.html (US Site) or http://pages.ebay.co.uk/vero/ (UK)
