Ebay wants to confirm my identity before I can become a seller; this requires either a checking account or a credit card. My question is this: will a prepaid credit card work?

it should, you can get walmart money card for $3, you can use it to set up paypal too, but can't use it to transfer money onto it from paypal, for that just get a paypal debit card
