I guess from your signature you will be selling electronics and the like.

If you list them as genuine iPods then obviously its a no, but if you list them as a MP3 player with a full description then there should not be a problem.

Do not mention ipod in the title or it will get pulled for Keyword Spamming, and be wary of how you describe it in the listing itself when comparing it to the iPod. I consider myself to be a pretty experienced seller, but I have been caught twice this year on technicalities on similar issues.

Have a look at - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tutorial/s ... intro.html for more information on Keyword Spamming, and also this - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tutorial/v ... intro.html which covers the Vero (Verified Rights Owner) programme.

Maybe, but research recently shown on this forum claims to reveal that 85% of visitors use eBay categories to find items they are interested in.

We did some research using the sellathon tool at sellathon.com on custom computers. Interestingly, most people used the category search - only 15% typed in a keyword to search

If this is a fair representation across all eBay categories then you should have nothing to worry about, and your listing won't be pulled for listing violations.

There are certain items that may not be sold on eBay or may only be sold in special areas of the site, such as our Mature Audiences section. eBay may end a listing early if it violates one of our stated policies. In such cases, eBay will notify both the seller, as well as bidders, via email when a listing has been ended.
