Is eBay's account rating system really working?

Any problems your having with eBay cutomer care, other buyers or sellers post them here for advice.

When I first joined eBay there was a big plus to having a good rating and becoming a Bronze Seller, etc. Now I am not so sure if it is really working.

I have seen so many people selling feedback, or accounts which are obviously fraudulent with massive feedback. I don’t know what to do, but I don’t think the system works as well as it once did.

With regard to your 'don't know what to do' quote. All you can do, is go about building your own feedback by delivering what you advertise. People will come back if they have been treated right.

On the whole, it is a quick and easy way to see the reputation of a seller. However, ebay are now trialing feedback 2 which allows buyers to leave much more detailed feedback for sellers.
