Well I'm Caren and I'm an occasional ebay seller. I only have 25 stars but at least I have 100% feedback so it's all good ^^.

Yeah, I just found this forum by googling "ebay forum". I kind of wanted to learn more tricks and the forums I belong to don't really have a strong ebay audience (I mostly belong to blogger forums 'cuz I'm a blogger too)

The reason I sell on ebay is that I'm a college student and my parents are lame and won't let me have a job so I can "focus" on my studies...so instead of studying I'm constantly selling stuff and writing for money. What a great idea...Double the work for much less of the profits than a real job(I'm kind of bad at earning money online....)

So yeah....HI!

I have been an eBay seller for nearly nine years now and have learned a lot about where to get products to sell in eBay. My greatest successes have come from buying products at local auctions. Many times I have bought an item for $5 and sold it for hundreds. I once bought an item for $5 that sold for $1450! It has taken many years to learn to make the most money from this source but I have been helping other folks to enjoy the same successes I have found. Drop me a note sometime. Thanks, Adron

My name is MacArthur (Mac for short). I am new to eBay, although I have been selling online for about 5 years now, but online work has always been a side business for me.

I buy/build/lease/sell houses IRL, I've had decent success with that. But I'm trying to "retire" from active RE work and develop more online businesses instead of new houses... it was a helpful operation when houses were in huge demand four years ago, but with the excess housing inventory on the market now, customers don't need me in the homebuilding industry for the foreseeable future.

Now with everyone grumbling about the economy and interested in saving, I figure some sort of online offering of affordable products will be more useful to the public.

I am likely to ask a lot of stupid questions about eBay, although I promise to be good and RTFM and search the forum (to see if my question has been answered already) before I start new threads. :-D

I can offer my $.02 in any questions about general business/marketing, and web-oriented technical questions, hopefully that will make up for my utter ignorance of eBay-specific topics.

Thanks to Mark for hosting this and to all the other people who have posted content, I will be spending many many hours reading over what y'all have contributed already, know that it is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mac

Hi Daylily120

No AuctionCUT is for any ebay users - whether sellers, buyers, watchers, & anyone showing any interest in eBay whatsoever.

Hi Mark,
I wasn't really clear before. I meant to say, is AuctionCUT for ebay users only whether they be sellers, buyers, watchers or persons interested in ebay. I am interested in using other venues for selling/buying rather than using ebay or PayPal.

Hello everyone!
I'm an eBay member for 2 years now.... but I know that it's nothing, and I still have a lot of things to learn. That's why I'm here, but of course I'll help anyone if I can ;)

Hi everybody, - never been on a forum before, will have a look around & post a comment where I think i can be of any help.
Just a quick question is this forum UK based or US. I'm in the UK & any assistance I could offer would relate to ebay.co.uk!

Cheers

Steve
