Hey all,

I'm thinking about starting to sell again but internationally from China. After reading some of the post thus far I can tell that most of you are not big fans of the international seller, especially those from China. Well I'm not out to ruffle any feathers just wanted some advice on ways I could do it with out pissing the entire ebay community off. So if anyone has any tips I'm all ears.

Hi szcitizen,

It's good to hear that despite the possible difficulty to be expected due to Chinese suppliers being a not so favored lot by the majority, you are still intent on pursuing to sell, and even asked for advice. That's a great spirit and it will bring you places, cheers! :) As you must probably know by now, suppliers from China are generally unfavored because of the rampant fakes and replicas that have been sourced from them. Nevertheless, resellers will continue to search for a good supplier in China because it is only from the cheap wholesale lots can one create a high profit margin. I'd have to say Chinese suppliers are a good source for generic items, but not for genuine branded products.

Here are some tips to help you create a good impression as a supplier from China:

1. Try to offer safe payment methods. People have learned that Western Union is not a good way to pay. Offer them some methods, like major credit cards or Paypal, where they can conveniently file for a charge back or a dispute should anything goes wrong. Once you have this secure methods of payment available, it's half the battle won. :)
2. Provide a good, quality website where buyers can read about all pertinent information about your company and the products that you offer. It will also help if the site has been online for 2 years and above.
3. Provide a professional customer support. If you are offering a live chat, make sure that the person representing your company is knowledgeable about the trade and the products you are offering.
4. Present correct and complete contact details in your website. Buyers will want to call you to confirm if you are a legitimate business.

I hope this helps. All the best! :)
