Gmail is great & generally catches the majority of spoof emails. Occasionally one will get though the filter, so reporting it is the best option.
To report a spoof email, open the email and then select the pull down menu (next to reply). The option to "Report Phishing" is here.
The more we report, the less will get though to genuine victims in the future.
