A lot of ebay members are under the impression that feedback can only be left within ninety days of the transaction. In fact, this belief is so widespread you can even purchase products that leave feedback minutes before the ninety day deadline is about to expire.
These products are aimed at those who wish to leave negative or neutral feedback with the confidence that similar feedback can not be returned for them. Unfortunately, this confidence is very misplaced, as feedback can be left for a period of longer than ninety days. Personally, I've left feedback for someone ten months after a transaction has been completed.
So, How I Leave Feedback After Ninety Days Is Up?
While My Ebay, has an option to leave feedback only those sales or purchases within the last three months are shown. You will see from the screenshot below, only recent transactions are shown (specific details obscured to protect parties involved - CLICK ON IMAGE TO SEE IT FULL SIZE).

This is where the belief comes from, that after ninety days feedback can not be left and your safe from any negative or neutral feedback.
However, this is simply NOT true. While older transactions do not show within My eBay, it is still possible to leave feedback simply by knowing the name of the other party involved & the item number.
This is how:
- Log into eBay.com or eBay.co.uk as normal
- Paste the following url into your browser window, replacing "item number"
& "username" with the relevant information to your transaction. Ensure the url is all on one continuous line with no spaces.
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?LeaveFeedbackShow&
useridto=username&item=itemnumber
If your using an eBay site other than ebay.co.uk, then you'll also need to change the domain in the url above to ebay.com or your local ebay site. If you have trouble locating the other party involved in the transaction and the item number, then check your email records for the relevant information.
