1. over 3000 items

2. £1,210

3. one of my buyers claimed he had not received an item from me even though i sent it 1st class recorded however in the early stages of selling on ebay i threw away my receipt (stupid) and couldn't give a tracking number. PayPal took money from my account to refund the buyer even though i know he/she received it - I always send recorded and obtain receipts these days.

4. over £100

I think I've sold about 400 plus items. Bought about 120 items. I've sold everything from chainsaws to a telefunken stereo to a guy in Korea.

Sold fabric to a woman in Hong Kong, all kinds of stuff. My margins were better than my highest price. I bought fabric one time, bolts of the stuff, vintage looking mickey mouse fabric. I bought it for a buck a yard, CDN. In the end, I was selling it for 8 bucks a yard, US. I finally ran out. Broke my heart. :-D

Most expensive was about 500 bucks for a guitar. I've bought about 5 guitars, an amp, and some pedals, all on eBay.

How much items have you sold?

Around 4500 in 2 years

What was the largest priced item you sold?

A Nokia N80 pre-release - £400

Have you ever been ripped off?

Yes - twice by sellers, but total value was about £20, never by a buyer. I've had 3 or 4 people have said the item never arrived, but again low value, so I simply refunded and claimed back through Post Office

What is the highest priced item you have purchased on eBay?

An extensive DVD collection for £600, resold half of them individually within 3 weeks for over £1000!

I know I'm going to want to get back into selling again sometime. I really enjoyed it for the most part, and I was satisfied when my customers were pleased with their purchases, which was 99.999% of the time.

I'll just have to figure out what I'm going to sell that has margins that will allow some profit. I'll also need to get a high speed connection. One thing that killed my on eBay, as they expanded the site, was the graphics and the page designs that were clearly being set up for their high speed users.

Lot of us in the sticks still on dial up. :)
