I picked out this product because the seller had it on sale for about 33 percent off competitors' prices. However, the color mentioned in the descriptions (silver) was significantly different from the color (black) in the pictures of this product and similar ones. The seller does not currently sell any black ones. When asked about it, the seller said that the text descriptions were correct and that any discrepancies must be due to my monitor.

That didn't quite sit right with me. Still... it was cheap and the color not especially important, so I bought the item anyway.

Does this sound like an honest mistake? Or should I have been more suspicious of the seller?. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks for the response, K700.

No, it's been less than two days since I purchased it. Given that "Standard" shipping and handling was almost $5 for negligible weight and it needs to be shipped across two States, in how many business days would you expect it to arrive?

Not sure - I'm based in the UK so I wouldn't have a clue about how long to wait. Over this side of the pond, I normally expect items within 7 days
