I have a question, how should I approach normal suppliers about dropshipping arrangements? as I've always thought there could be money to be made this way, with the added advantage of less competition.

hi, ofcos you can ask them to dropship for you, they should know what you mean but they sometimes can't guarantee they'll print your name and address on the packaging in stead of theirs.. that way your buyer would know contact info of your supplier and would not deal with you anymore. so i suggest you to find a experienced dropshipper whose services you can rely on and trust. i had once sold AF apparels using a supplier in india but he could not print my name and address 'cause it's simply impossible due to crossborder transactions, so his goods is all over the web now, everybody knows about him and so nobody could make a dime anylonger.. competition would increase if your supplier could not guarantee this because your buyer will wanna do the same as you and his buyer would do the same, too...

all in all, finding an experienced dropshipper is very important. i suggest ask your supplier about his/her dropshipping experience and ask him to make sure your name and address is labeled instead of his, it's for the protection of both of you. hope that helps. good luck!
