Recently I posted a laptop on ebay actually last week. Anyways I got an email from a guy or gal asking if I can ship to the philipines, so I quoted a shipping cost. They said that they didnt want to bid on ebay for some reason, and they want to pay directly through paypal. They paid for it all $1,006.99 for the laptop! Heres my dilemma though, the paypal account email is absolutely different from the emails that they sent messages from, and the person they want me to send it to is totally different from the paypal account. So paypal has asked me to ask them what their phone number in the philipines is, but they have yet to respond to anymore emails. I dropship and the laptop is sitting here in front of me, so did I get a free laptop and does this sound phishy to you all?

For Paypal to insure the transaction, you need to comply with what they are asking.
You could however move the money out of your Paypal account and send the goods with a carrier that confirms delivery with a signature.
As long as you sent it where the customer asked and someone signed, then I can't see a problem.

I did some reading, and I found out there are a lot of hacked account purchases coming from the philipines. So I contacted paypal and they told me that this infact was a fraudulent purchase and payment will not be retracted from my account.
