Hi Guys,
Im new to this forum so be nice :)
Just wanted to say me and alot of people are really getting sick of the crap ebay is pulling.
Ive been a powerseller for alot of years and their site is just pissing me off more and more.
The other night I listed something, they deleted my auction and kept my fee's, I asked
them why? The person on the phone couldnt answer that question and made me sit on hold
for about 10 minutes, then came back and basically said "sorry", then the phone mysteriously
go disconnected... then my fee's were almost $10 for 1 listing last night... its getting really
stupid over there.. anyway Im looking for maybe some alternative auction sites

has anybody tried ez123bid.com I found that last night.. think I will try them.
Thanks

Have you tried calling them again? Ebay I mean for answers?
I am not a power seller but have been frustrated in the past when buyers have let me down and not gone through with auction and when I have complained and asked for a refund of listing fees got nowhere.
Does seem they now have the attitude that they are so big they do not really care about their sellers and the people that make them.
But ebay is well known and well used, other auction sites just don't get the visitors.

Hello,
Here is what actually happened and they have done this multiple times. Remember Ive been on ebay almost 10 years now so ive seen them change over the years. Anyway, I listed my item, get an email saying "miscategorized", I call, they basically say "to bad sucker"..lol.. and the review team says the same thing. I have never been anti -ebay at all. On the contrary, ive spent over $300-$1000 a month on fee's for the last 10 years almost now, have inpeckable feedback. 100% feedback, 4.9 out of 5.0 on there star rating, and they just shut me down.

The other thing they did a couple of weeks ago was removed all my upgrade features... I used to do homepage ads all the time, upgrades with all the works. $102.00 listings for 1 auction. Multiple times a month...

anyway so I go to list and my upgrades are gone... I called them and said "where did all my upgrades go" (remember im being extremely nice to them by the way).. they say.... well you dont qualify! I said what do you mean I dont qualify?

Well the star system says your not a top rated seller and you dont qualify..

I say.. Ok so ive got a 1400+ sells 100% positive feedback, 4.9 average out of 5.0 on your star system, so im almost perfect for over 10 years and I dont qualify? Please explain!!!

The ebay lady says nope you dont qualify...
I checked out other "top rated" sellers that have 99.5% feedback and lower with a star of 4.8 and lower and they didnt get "punished" but I got the shaft... figure that one out....

So basically its a combination of everything, the little bull cr*p things like that....that they have been putting me through. I did try that http://www.Ez123bid.com site yesterday, I signed up because it said two other powersellers were running it. and I enquired on another powerseller auction forum to see if anybody had sold anything on the site... anyway did get a bid on one of the items already so its looking promising..
Anyway thanks for letting me vent a little. God knows ebay could care less...
Thanks,
Sarah :)

No problem, be interested to hear how you get on with this other auction site.
The only thing I tend to try and sell or list is properties so may take a look...

It is a fact that no other auction site can beat eBay on the high traffic that it generates having been the online auction pioneer. But because of the changes that it has gone through for the past years, many eBay sellers have fled eBay. People are constantly on the look out for an eBay alternative due to increasing fees, account issues and so on. There are a lot of other auction sites that have been launched and are gaining popularity.

AuctionBytes conducted a survey on 10 January. Over 1,400 sellers were asked to rate 15 ecommerce marketplaces to find out which were the best venues on which to sell. Of course, eBay is Number 1 followed by Bonanzle, Craigslist, Amazon, eCrater, Ruby Lane, Etsy, iOffer, Ebid.net, BlueJay, OnlineAuction.com, AtomicMall, GoAntiques, TIAS.com and CQout. You may check out this page for more details: http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/y21 ... bu0255/s02

Also, here's a huge list of 354 eBay Alternatives:

http://www.squidoo.com/ebay-alternatives

Should one decide to sell on other auction sites, it is very important to focus on advertising, marketing your products, and letting people find your site.

Good luck!

Hi all,

The trouble is with eBays way of thinking is, they are catering more for the buyers than the sellers by puttin a strict regime of policies in place to make sure the sellers keep attracting the buyers to eBay, therefore increasing their revenue as a middleman1

The only problem with that is, on the other extreme they forcing sellers to look for other selling platforms with far less rules and policies, and basicially if you think abouit it driving fee paying sellers to other sites, ahh the price of greed!
