Five free listings a month

With ebay's new policy of five free listings a month, I usually end up paying more fees to ebay than before. I don't sell expensive items. Therefore the 8.75% final value fee of the free listings is usually more than paying a lisiting fee and the usual final value fee.

Is anyone having the same problem?

How can I lower my ebay fees?

Ebay gives nothing away to the small seller. This change is not beneficial to the small seller, it's another classic ebay marketing trick, they offer you something with one hand then take it back and more with the other. Unfortunately, it's ebay's game and they can make the rules. We just have to trade within them.
