Maybe, Maybe not.

I think The Country Owl got it right when he said

On a related note, we asked Skip McGrath who should leave feedback first. You can read his interview here. |

| I don't leave feedback until they have left feedback for me. |

Yes, I have seen sellers hit back with an undeserved negative in response to a deserved (at least) neutral.
I personally have had one of the chinese crap sellers do it when they sent me a hacked 1GB player which should have been 8gb.
I will expand on what I said before :
Most buyers buy and pay in good faith, and will give a seller the benefit of the doubt in feedback.
Using the ***few*** who give poor feedback; as in the examples given, as justification for holding all buyers feedback to ransom simply doesn't wash.
I get messages from sellers saying 'you will get good feedback automatically if you give me good feedback' They are really saying I have already done what is needed.
I repeat : You very very clearly have doubts on the quality of your service.
I strongly recommend that all buyers give (bad if necessary) accurate feedback and highlight these cowboy sellers.
CONSIDER THIS:
The bad feedback from these cowboys will be ignored by anyone worthwhile provided the comments describe the situation accurately. The only people who it is likely to frighten off is the other shady dealers who would fear similar feedback.
Anyone have experience of getting unjustly given bad feedback removed by Ebay? |

I had a neg removed that was left by a seller, but only after I raised the issue at a high level.
The seller did not respond to my INR dispute, so when I had my refund and left a neg, they returned the honour. If it had been the other way around, and i did not respond to an unpaid item dispute, my right to feedback would have been forfeited.
So much for "improving the buying experience"!!!
There was no explanation from ebay why, except the usual templated repsonse that it met with their "feedback removal policy" even though the policy mentioned nothing about it... |
