Right, I want to create an e-bay account, but I need to do which email address's they accept. For example: they won't accept hotmail address's. And I don't have a card that I can use instead. Any help will help lol! :) x

I know they "use to" accept mymail.ro which offers a free email account. The only thing is unless you speak romainian you have to signup via wap on your mobile via wap.mymail.ro

I haven't use mymail for a while so it may not work any longer.

Additionally you could register your own domain name & get all the mail forwarded to hotmail. However, you may need a card for this (unless you have an existing paypal account & then you could use namecheap.com)

Either way, when you try to convert your normal ebay account to a selling one (enabling you to list goods as well as bid) , you'll need to enter some kind of financial details whether it be your bank account or card information.

Couldn't you use Gmail? my account is setup with Gmail but it was a good two years ago I set my account up!!

If you need a Gmail account Email me kevinsmithers {AT} gmail {DOT} com and I'll send you an invitation, an dif that doesn't work I can offer you a commercial Email address without the cost of you purchasing your own domain name, again Email me for more information on this.

Guest, well i don't speak romainian so i can't really use that site, i dont have a mobile either so i cant use the wap one. I don't really need a domain name.
Oh yeah, i didn't think of that, do you know if when i try to convert my normal ebay account into a selling one, i can put my paypal details in rather then bank account or card information?

UK Ferret, i do have a gmail account already but ebay is not accepting it. Can u give me more information on the commercial email address you can offer me please.

I'm certain you have to enter your credit card details, or setup a direct debit to have a sellers account. You don't have to use these though as long as you pay all your fees by paypal before eBay bill you.

I can give you a Email address for the sole purpose of using it for eBay.

Send me an Email to kevinsmithers {AT} gmail {DOT} com mention you are from here and I'll sort you a mail address out from somthing like cat{AT}ukrssfeeds.com or cat{AT}dreamweaverkit.com or cat{AT}jesterssnooker.co.uk or what ever you need I have about 60 domain names I can set up Email on.

Personally if you don't have access to a card I think it's a bit dodgy. Doesn't almost everyone have access to a debit card these days?

Good point. Surely most people have a card don't they?

I run my main account on Tesco webmail, and my sniping account on a hotmail address. The sniping account was only set up a few weeks ago - I didn't fancy giving my main account details to one of these snipe programs.

Any idea how secure they are?

And of course, you can now get an AuctionCUT email address for your email activities. Details here.

It's not that they don't accept it, its just that they won't let you have certain priveliges when using their site.

I recommend signing up for aol free mail and then ebay wont know the difference as they assume aol is a paid email.

Go to the supermarket and buy a debit card and you will be doing fine. Or you can check out NETSPEND dot com for a really great deal on prepaid debit cards.
They don't have a monthly fee and they're only like ten bucks to sign up for and they are one of the few that are PayPal friendly.

I was using Wired plastic but the are not friendly with the PayPal operation so I had to switch off.
