I had three separate auctions for xbox games. One bidder won all the auctions. I combined the items which was easy to do. Problem was I could not change the shipping price, instead of a price for three games, I was stuck with the shipping cost for one game. I asked ebay Live Help about it, and they said I could not change the shipping price. Ended up I just absorbed the extra cost. Has anyone had this same problem? What did you do about it? thanks

I could not reduce a buyers price because I offered free shipping and a 10% discount on multiple item purchases. However when it came time to send the invoice Ebay told me I could not reduce the price of the item by 10%, so I simply wrote in the message section of the invoice that the actual amount the buyer should pay was reduced by 10% and I included that value in the message. The buyer paid what I told them was the correct amount. You probably should have done this with your buyer. I'm sure they would have paid the correct amount. My buyer paid by transfering the funds through Pay Pal without checking out through Ebay.

Thanks for the reply. I did send a message to Ebay asking them to fix this problem. I'd like to do all the transactions through Ebay instead of resorting to private messages asking the buyers for payments directly through paypal. I'm not a programmer but Ebay should allow a seller to change the size and weight of an item thereby changing the cost when combining items. If others could send a similar message to Ebay it would help.
