Dear Mark

Nice to hear from you again. I have made some sales with eBay and am awaiting product information to launch two shops and possibly try these products on Adwords/adsense.

One main problem I have is selling or promoting ebooks. Perhaps the solution is with ebay but my question to you is this.

Ok you have a pile of ebooks that can be sold but how do you send them to buyers? From Word directly or by autoresponder but how is this put together when payment is received say via paypal.

A lengthy question Mark but some help would be appreciated.

That's brilliant news. Glad you've had some success.

The advantage of selling ebooks are great - as you already know. No postage or packaging, No inventory, No Hassle.

Personally, I have two setups.

With my collection of eBooks on www.eBusinessebooks.com ,I have IPN delivery. This automatic script is called upon after paypal, and sends the ebooks automatically. I've made this IPN script available for public viewing at: http://ebusinessebooks.com/ipnscript.php

By simply using this script when setting up your paypal buttons, you have a fully setup automated delivery.

(John, if you ever need help setting up this from a website, just drop me a pm/email)

However, you can not use a script like this when selling on eBay.

With eBay, I manually email the customers after the sale has been made. I include the download location within the email so users can download the ebook themselves.

However, I'll be the first to admit this is not very efficient.

In the US, eBay has recently launched the delivery of digital goods. You can find more details at: http://pages.ebay.com/choosingformats/d ... tems/faqs/

This is not yet available in the UK, until then other options are available to automatically send products that are sold on eBay. One of these is called, http://payloadz.com/ and is what my good friend Brian McGregor uses to deliver his ebooks and it is very reliable. It works in the same way, as my IPN script above - expect it is compatible with eBay. You can even have a free basic account - to see if it works out for you.

I encourage to check it out & run a few test auctions.
