I believe eBay is Monopolising the industry, which is why they keep on increasing charges and will continue to do so. They just do not care about the sellers who are trying to make a living out of selling online.

There needs to be a viable alternative to eBay, which will create some competition and hopefully reduce charges. This will open the doors for many more sellers to sell online.

There are some sites out there, bu they do not seem to be gaining allot of traction.Ubid and Bidz.com seem alright, but there is not enough volume yet. At one point, eBay will force people to try other venues.

This is probably old news to some of you. Just today, while browsing the net for news headlines, I learn that ebay will disable negative feedbacks for sellers in regards to buyers. This is such a turnoff. What's happened to freedom of speech? Sellers should be able to give negative feedbacks when they find bad buyers that are behaving badly. Right???

I guess alternative sites would be
http://craiglist.org : free postings with 4 pics, no need to register but posting tends to end at the bottom of the page fairly quickly because too many postings (or repeated spams).

http://loudheart.com : also free postings with 10pics (1 video?), need to register tho. 30 days listing. relatively new site.

http://etsy.com : targeting crafts audience. register required. listing is 0.20 cents with 3.5% transaction fee.
