How often do you change your email account which is registered with Ebay, or how long have you had your current account registered with Ebay?

I've just changed mine after several years - due to getting more spoof emails than genuine ebay communications. Hopefully this may cut down on the number of spoofs I receive.

I haven't yet, but i plan to as part of establishing my ebay identity.

Does it cause problems with paypal - if the addresses on the two accounts don't match? I'm sure (but I may be completly off on a tangent) that somebody has mentioned that you need to verify your paypal account again?

Have you had to do anything other than simply change your details in eBay?

It shouldn't cause any problems with paypal. I've always used two different email accounts for ebay and paypal. For me, it was simply a case of registering and confirming your new email address.

Mark,

I actually was about to change my email address
for the same exact reason. I have been on ebay 9
years and have different paypal and ebay email addresses
there has never been a problem.

I used one email address for the first 2-3 years on
ebay and then switched but have used that one for the
last 6 years, but the spam has gotten ridiculous.

Also, a trick to use, in your auctions, put spaces in your
email address in your auction - this allows people to
see it but not have those robots harvest the email
address from the auctions.

Best,
Aryeh
