Don't do Wholesale on Ebay....

What's selling on eBay at the moment, have you discovered any profitable dropshippers or wholesalers?

As the title states I recommend NOT TO DO WHOLESALE on ebay!

The reasons...

1. People assume that it is a scam and so do not bid.
2. Idiots come in a overbid with no intention of paying and thus cause you issues.
3. Competitors report you and cause all sorts of account issues which may even lead to a permanent ban.

My advice...

Sell singularly and then develop your own site that people can be directed to, just drop a sales enquiry link into your about me page and go from there. Should help preserve your account and also give you some excellent exposure.

Thoughts??

I assume that your advice is to anyone selling wholesale. It would also be useful to have guidannce on buying wholesale - or would you recommend finding another route to wholesalers?

Totally understand what you mean. eBay is just a risk retailer platform.

I do agree with you. I think it will much better if we can get the products from the factory directly and the price will much lower than from the retailers' . As i know, some factories built the online websites directly, just like my company. If you know this websites, maybe you can get a best price from them, not the retailers from eBay.

It is indeed true, it is not uncommon to see products at eBay selling at prices the same as or even sometimes lower than the wholesale suppliers. eBay has become an extremely competitive marketplace that even wholesalers are at this selling platform offering products directly to the public! Sad to say but that's the truth.

There are some sensible solutions to this issue. You can try to sell on another auction site other than eBay – there are heaps to choose from and profit margins are usually better. Buying from liquidation will also let you get product for pennies on the dollar. In fact that's how a lot of powersellers make money on eBay these days. You may also strive on finding a niche market with few competitors – collectibles and one-off items have amazing profit margins, even on eBay.

Hope this helps.
