How many of you are aware that Meg Whittman, the current president of Greed-Bay (some call it e-Bay) was reciently listed as one to the top 25 Billionares in the world? I think that she is the 8th richest person in the world!

Now, does that answer your questions as to why they treat us peons so harshly?

Frankly the evil Gods at Greed-Bay do not give a DAMM about us. All they are looking to is the almighty $$ that comes to them, so as soon as one of the big power sellers see us taking some sales from they, they call Greed-Bay and start BAWLING about us cutting into their sales, and off go our listings, sometimes our entire sites.

Do you know that those "Shooting Star" Power Sellers have a 24/7 phone number where they can call their assigned reps, and immidately our little competing auctions bet "bumped"!

So if there was no eBay, then what?

How many people would no longer have a business if there was suddenly no eBay?

Of course eBay cares about its sellers, they spend quite a bit of money advertising their site on television, and they're the largest buyer of Google Adwords ads, plus they have an affiliate program where they pay a big chunk of the fees to whoever referred the winning bidder.

So what did eBay do to you that's got you so ticked?

Meg Whitman is an intelligent woman who has worked hard and become successful. She doesn't owe you, me, or anyone else anything but fair value for our money.

I don't understand the philosophy some people have that profit is bad, unless it is their profit of course, otherwise, it is evil and bad.

I look at successful people like Whitman, Bill Gates etc, and I admire them, and what they have accomplished. They've worked hard, and done well.

Isn't that what hard work is about? Success?

You do not need to be a shooting star level Power Seller to get phone support, merely 300 items a month will earn you that right!

Not sure about having smaller volume sellers bumped tho', got any examples of this? The higher volume sellers are all in the position they are in by clever marketing and listing strategies, good reliable products and solid customer service.

Gary,

If they truly cared, why would the treat the people that helped make them the billionaires they are today so poorly? I was a Gold Powerseller (up until today) and the suspend my account for "abusing eBay"? I have NEVER done anything illegal and I ALWAYS provided top notch customer service.

To top it off, the won't even elaborate as to why I was suspended. The only thing I can remotely think of, is the fact that I logged on while I was in Europe on vacation and that maybe they suspect my account was comprimised. But if that's the case, why won't they just say that so that I can get back to making money.

GreedBay has completely forgotten about their core.

Care to share the name of the account?
