I just wanted to share something that I believe to be hugely relevant to being successful on eBay. It’s not really a secret but then again, it only stays a secret until you use it yourself and see it’s absolute power. No I’m not going off on some mystical tangent here. I’m getting to free eBay secrets trust me!

Just follow this thinking for a few minutes. Wallace Wattles wrote a book back in 1906 called "The Science of Getting Rich". It’s what all the latest craze in the movie The Secret and The Law of Attraction is based on. It’s such a simple thing it’s scary. But we "the people" seem to have disowned "simple" as having no value. So here’s the thing.

Mr. Wattles asserts that when we do things "in a certain way" and they are successful, we need to stay on track and repeat repeat repeat. We always know when we’ve done something successful, lose weight, make money in the stock market, find the perfect girl or guy. Well if that "certain way" worked, why fool with success? Because basically, we are never satisfied, we want more and think we always must do more. Doing more never translates into having or getting more. Doing it right does!

So, simply "doing things in a certain way" can bring success over and over again. Just look at all the masters, Tiger Woods, Donald Trump etc. I highly doubt every success they had was achieved by reinventing the wheel. They were successful over and over again by repeating what worked the first time. Or at least not deviating from the original blueprint very much. Makes sense so far?

In marketing it’s all about the testing. And when something tests well, we do it over and over. Look at all the most successful ad campaigns on TV. So how does all this relate to free eBay secrets? Well no matter how many secrets I pass along, you are going to test your own methods right? Well then, journal the ones that work best, all the successful eBay Powersellers do. Finding that "certain way" and then stick with it.

If doing a Buy It Now auction, that included Free Shipping works for you and trust me it’s a huge free eBay secret, then rinse and repeat! You know the phrase "success leaves clues" well journal the good ones. That "certain way" should not be tampered with too much.

Here’s my latest example and proof positive this method is very successful. I just did a case study to prove that I could take a blog from no where to the # 1 position on Google. I then embarked on doing things in a very "certain way".

I wanted to rank well in Google organically for the title Best Affiliate Marketing Tools. And I wanted to do it all at zero expense, as that’s essentially what organic marketing is anyway. Literally going to the # 1 position in Google and spending no money. So here’s exactly what I did.

- I researched a 4 word long-tail key word phrase

- Best Affiliate Marketing Tools was chosen

- I used that phrase as the title of my blog & blog URL

- I repeated that phrase in the blog no less than 3 times

- I submitted an article to this site, again using same title

- I submitted it to all the big social book marking sites

- I submitted the blog RSS feed to all the authority sites

- I pinged my blog as often as I updated it

- I made a You Tube video with the same 4 word key phrase

- I also joined MyBlogLog & a Technorati to track my blogs

- I track my blog backlinks daily

This simple "certain way" process took my blog from zero to page 1 and position 1 in Google within 18 days. And by the way, the YouTube video and EzineArticles article are all also on page one. As both have the same 4 word phrase as their title.

Point is I just stuck to a "certain way" pattern and had success. Now if I started another blog would I follow the exact same process. Based on reaching 1 on Google for the phrase Best Affiliate Marketing Tools, I would be crazy to alter that approach.

Same goes for your free eBay secrets approach, which is all on my blog. Document what works and keep repeating until it no longer works. Remember what I said, secrets are only secrets until they are discovered. And it seems most people dismiss "simple" as too easy and won’t work. Sadly, that seems to be the human condition.

Let me ask you this. Would you pay $47.00 for a 12 page, Step by Step ebook called Free eBay Secrets or would you pay $47.00 for a 295 page ebook called the same thing. They both promise you success on eBay, the only difference is the length of the books. Most people would opt for the 295 page book, on the simple assumption that "I’m getting more for my money". Of course we know that is almost never true.

There is a great deal of evidence to support that a 12 page ebook can be every bit as effective, and even more so, based simply on great editing, and an easy to follow style. The no fluff, no filler, well edited approach can pack huge content into a small ebook. So don’t get caught up in tribal thinking that says, more is more. We are all painfully aware that in most cases, more is actually less.
