I have been fighting with Ebay for over a year for them to reopen my account. This all falls back to falsely receiving an unpaid item strike for an item which was paid for and received. The seller was no longer and Ebayer and would not return any coorespondence. I could never get Ebay to answer my coorespondence effieicntly and, therefore, my account is still closed to this day despite two of the three untrue item strikes being removed. Does anyone have a phone number for a superviosor of the Ebay lack of customer service department so I can try to at least speak diredtly to an incompetent idiot that may or may not understand this problem and solve it?

try those listed at: http://auctionguild.com/generic17.html

However, once an account is closed it's almost impossible to get it reopened again. Good luck & let us know how you get on.

As for

could never get Ebay to answer my coorespondence effieicntly

It's the same for most of us, just getting canned prewritten answers sent back, which do not in anyway respond to the points which we've raised.

Once or twice I've been lucky enough and have got an answer containing some common sense! However this was with a lot of persistence.

On one occasion I've even received an apology from eBay

What I've found to increase the responce speed is don't just raise the issue with ebay.co.uk, but amongst other ebay sites (ebay.com, ebay.com.au). However, unfortunatly this is dependent on having your account open which I suspect you do not.

Have you tried ebaY live chat at:

http://livechat.ebay.com/Chat/servlet/A ... =index.jsp

Otherwise, why not just open another account?

Posting another account is a violation of bay rules and they will catcvh up with you out of the blue and suspend your account again.

An alternative would be to get a family member or friend to open an account for you, obviously everything will be in their name (including postal addresses) but at least you will be back on.

The key is not to use any information that you have done previously and to get them to set it up from a different computer (different IP, remember broadband connections are static IP's), you can obviously still use the same Paypal account just set up another free email account and allocate it to your Paypal account.

You will however be starting afresh with feedback etc but that doesn't take to long to build back up.

Pursuing your account reopening is fruitless particularly after that length of time...

It is also advisable to have a buying and selling account asa NPB strikes are a popular way for competition to kill accounts, underhand I know but lots of sellers on Ebay operate like that.

They don't listen to a complaint that was made last week,, they're not going to listen to something made that long ago. Just open another acc.

Just open another account, theres so many accounts out there, and it's been so long since your account was closed it is most likely that you will never get checked.

Hi

You just open another acct. I have no problems with e bay so far. I got the customer service within two days I asked. I like it and they solved my problems.

Would ebay be quicker at finding your duplicate account than it would be at solving your other problem? If not, I'd say go for creating the new account or even using a family member/friend. This would only work for some, but I've used my maiden name and parents' home address (my old address) at times when I need new information for something. Just an idea.

I would definitely say open a duplicate account and always have two accounts one for buying and one for selling, it protects you when you are leaving feedback for someone you purchased from.
