I agree. After giving enough time for the item to delivered and received, you may send out a friendly reminder asking your buyer to leave a feedback if they are happy with the transaction. Buyers don't leave feedbacks for a couple of reasons:
1. They are too busy and don't see the importance of leaving a feedback.
2. They are not happy with the transaction.
Some sellers subscribe to eBay's Selling Manager Pro to automate leaving feedbacks to buyers who have paid for an item or buyers who have paid and left a positive feedback. The Selling Manager Pro also sends automated emails to buyers to:
1. Notify them that they won an item and to thank them for the purchase.
2. Notify them that payment has been received.
3. Check if they have received the item, was satisfied with the purchase and to remind them to leave a positive feedback. You could also give a brief description of the DSR so that they will be aware of how it works.
This is an excellent way to improve overall customer satisfaction without the hassles of sending out emails manually. The instructions on how to set this can be found on eBay Help Section under Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro.
