Auction Site Allowing Real Estate (over view of a few)

Alternatives to Ebay do exist, but some are more successful than others. Discuss your experience of Ebay alternatives here, such as Amazon Auctions, Ebid and CQOUT

I have been going through the suggestions on this forum for alternatives to eBay. I have a handful of cheap properties for sale in Bulgaria and am interested in trying various options to gain interest in these. I have tried ebay in the past but there are thousands of listings, a lot in Bulgaria, ebay has got a bad reputation in the Bulgarian real estate market for allowing con artists to list properties for sale in horrid areas for over inflated prices, taking money and not completing the transaction and so on. I have tried listing properties on there in the past and while you get a few enquiries, most are not serious or are looking for a habitable, good solid house for under a couple of grand. When I did get a buyer for one property auction who won the bid, he was a complete pain and even after scanning in paperwork for him, more photos, taking numerous calls from his 'agent' in Bulgaria and agreeing to show him the property (did not turn up on first occasion), he then refused to complete and gave me negative feedback as property was not in good condition (it was 3000 Euros!! and stated was for complete renovation).

So will now not list on eBay.

So having gone through many of the suggestions on this forum here are my initial reactions:

TazBar – no site found

eBid.net – fairly active, site a little crowded. Will be trying a few listings there though but currently waiting for answer as to how I can upgrade via paypal and not just with credit card.

Exbid123.com – kept getting script errors and would then go to page not found so kept having to refresh. Never could get past first page of registration as just kept going to errors and page not found.

Romahawk.com – very few listings, no real estate listings, no category. Site rather dull and boring.

Specialistauctions.com – nice simple and easy to navigate site. Good overall feel. Like way moderators are at top and personalable. Have asked about possibility of including property listings.

QXL – don’t speak Danish so not much use to me

Alltheauctions.com – never loaded, just a blank white page

AuctionWatchLot.co.uk – excellent for finding other sites

http://www.cqout.com – seems a well used auction site and will be trying this one.

Flogitall.com – no listing fees or selling fees so will give it a go.

Gbauctions.co.uk – 3.5% end fee and small listing fees, not many items on site though.

Oneway-uk.com – quite high fees compared to other sites, although seems to have decent amount of activity

Ioffer.com – free for real estate listings and couple of others so great for me. Other fees high.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So will be trying ebid.net, ioffer.com. flogitall & cqout.com
Well registered for these 4 sites a couple of days ago and comments so far:
1. I thought ebid would be a good site and good alternative to eBay but it was rather confusing and to list an item you appeared to need to upgrade to a seller account and pay by credit card or paypal. These amounts were fairly small and was happy to give it a go for a month, but could not find how to upgrade via paypal. I posted in the help forum and received a response after around 36 hours telling me how to do this but it also noted I had been given a strike for breaking the rules. This seemed very strange seeing as I was yet to do anything and had not even managed to place a live listing. I tried to login and could not so turned again to the help section and read that my account had likely been terminated for trying to list a prohibited item and rela estate was not allowed. Yet there is a real estate category with currently 9 listings. I have emailed support for an explanation. So far not at all impressed.
2. Cqout - easy to use and register, no problems, advert has gone live and so far 12 views. Definitely best so far.
3. iOffer - thought I needed to upgrade to list so tried to do this but couldn't because my credit card billing address is different to my location. Yet item still seems to be listed in auction even though not upgraded - have asked them to clarify.
4. Flogitall - item listed no problem but cannot see how many views an item has had to see if gaining any interest.
eBid - no good, could never satisfy requirements to upgrade to seller so could not list. And never got answer about real estate listings.
Flotitall - not really any activity but automatically relisted property so don't have to worry about it.
No answer from iOffer.
So far cqout seems best but no buyers or even bids.
