As many will now know, Ebay have removed the home page featured upgrade. Will any sellers miss it? I used it on a number of occasions over the years, but found it brought little in the way of extra exposure - generally a waste of money |

I only used it once. Was disappointing.
I'm not sure why they removed the option though. One would think this would be a great source of revenue for them, whether there were results or not. Maybe they had some complaints about the lack of activity that resulted from this expenditure. |

It cost about £50 though? That's a fair old chunk of Fee to absorb in the selling price!
I'd be interested to know what the return rate was compared to a normal category featured listing. I, and many other I know, have the eBay Summary page saved as a favourite or IE homepage, and not the main front page of ebay. I'm not sure it was the most effective place for targetted publicity. |

What's always got me is while the UK home page option use to cost £50, the US equivalent is just $39.95. Personally I'd have thought the US one would have got a lot more exposure for your item.
If I was selling digital items, I'd be more likely to try the US version than the UK. |
