FYI my money was refunded and I received the following response from the seller. I used a coupon which is now expired so I won't be buying this item, too bad.

Hello,

We are having a small situation with Paypal and eBay. It should be resolved by today. If it is I will immediately send your product out. If it is not today then I will send your product out on Tuesday or latest on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, I cannot send the item out without having the funds available. The funds are withdrawn from my account when the buyer files a dispute. Therefore unless you close the dispute I will not be sending your item.

Thank you.

Hey,

I'm not sure what is going on with my Item but I thought It would be fair to tell you I've submitted a tentative claim to Paypal regarding the situation. I would still much rather have the hard drive than a refund but I will take what I can get. If I receive the item I will dismiss the Paypal claim with no hard feelings. Please let me know what is going on.

Thank you

Alright. I must say I have faith in the system once again. I'm gonna have to agree with Bob and others. In the end this did not turn out to be fraud. It turned out to a series of amature mistakes by a new comer to EBAY. This person had a sweet deal going on with the products he/she was carrying at amazing prices.

If this person would have sent a blanket email stating the situation I would of respected that and gave him/her the time to make it right. But they didn't do that and when you are playing with peoples money. $1000 for my investment. You better be on the ball. Today I got my refund back and for that I am very pleased.

Peace.

Adam C

Now I go spend my money again on a new camera Wink

I too bought a GPS from this site and had my PayPal payment immediately accepted. I've learned that this seller has been removed from E-Bay. I have not received the item. I’ve e-mailed seller with no response.

I may be out $400

I will report as fraud if I don’t hear anything back.

Has anyone else received a refund?

    David,

Contact Paypal. Ask them to "escalate a claim." When I did this I had my refund within 48 hours.

    Bob,
Thanks. How long does one have to wait to ask to escalte a claim? I just filed today.

    David,

My memory of this is not exact but ...

A couple of days after I placed my buy-it-now order on ebay, I returned to check shipping status. The seller's userid had been de-registered at ebay. I contacted Paypal on advice from ebay. Paypal recommended escalating. I received a series of emails from Paypal that day and the next. I had my refund from all-systems555 within 48 hours of my initial contact with Paypal.

    Regards,
    Bob T

One more thing, David - I called Paypal instead of emailing or using their on-line dispute method.

Thanks again. I called PayPal and they had already escalated the claim. I asked what this means. They said with a regular claim PayPal hooks up the buyer and seller and sees if they can work out the dispute. In an escalated claim PayPal takes it over and communicates with the seller. It sounds like they do this via e-mail. The seller has 10 days to respond. If they don’t respond it sounds like PayPal can take the funds from their account. I guess if there isn’t any money in the account they the buyer can get what ever protection plan offered by E-Bay. In my case it was $200. I’ll post what hppens in my case.

I posted my first post before I saw the second page of the thread. I see some people did get a refund. How many of you got a refund?

    I'm still waiting to hear.

I have a claim started with PayPal.

I also bought a GPS unit from all-systems555 on June 3. I have not received the unit nor a refund from all-systems555. There has been no response to EMAILS or Voicemails that I have left all-systems555. The most disturbing thing to me is the lack of communication from Paypal and EBAY. There was a rapid response to shut down all-systems555 when it was ascertained that something was awry, but I have not received any explanation or reassurance that the issue is being resolved. In fact, they have not even acknowledged that there is a problem!

Paypal will not let me create a dispute until 10 days have passed. Even though they are aware there is a problem with all-systems555. I have really lost my trust in Paypal and EBAY with this entire issue. I had gotten complacent with my bidding and trusted that Paypal and EBAY had my back. This confirms that they do not. They will not even acknowledge that there is a problem and the auction (#320257937341) has disappeared from My EBAY like it never happened, yet they payment still shows up where they took $205.00 out of my Paypal account. I am glad it wasn't a big ticket item, which after this incident I would never buy a big ticket item through EBAY again

    Keith,

I called PayPal. There are 2 things they do. One is a dispute where they try to hook you up with the seller the other is a claim. In the claim PayPal communicates with the seller via e-mail. The seller has 10 days to reply. If there is no reply then the buyer wins the case.

PayPal tries to get the money from the seller's account; of course a bad seller could always close the account. The only hope is that PayPal via EBay has a $200 protection policy. I spent about $400, so I guess my worse case I'm out $200. Sounds like you may able to get $200 back.

I wonder if enough people did something together about this situation we could get better results?

I suggest you call PayPal. You can ask to accelerate your dispute to a claim. I plan on calling back and checking on the progress of my claim.

The same for me. I bought a gps and I never received it. Also I am sure that it's a very big fraud. He refunded some people just to proove that it's not a fraud, so many person wait wait before to ask a refund and he gain more time to withdraw his money for his account and run, maybe in another country. He had +- 500 arcticle on ebay and the prices was between 200$ and 1000$ so it's a total of +-250 000$!!! He refund for +-50 000$ and the rest is for him!! He sell couples of item before this fraud to received some positives feedback.... Anyway it's my opinion, i hope I am wrong!! we will see!!

Called PayPal. They told me have to wait 10 days for seller to provide tracking number since that is what is in their agreement. They couldn't give any further details.
