Hi All
It may be that i'm totally missing it, but can someone explain how the revenue sharing works.
I have an Adsense account, it's taken me 10 months to earn just under $80.
So any help would be appreciated
Thanks in anticipation |

Right, first things first if you haven't already done so hit the revenue sharing button above and enter your adsense publisher code.
More details about the mod installed here at AuctionCUT is:
http://www.sitetoolcenter.com/.....ng-mod.php
Basicly, everytime you make a new thread there is a 50% chance your the google ads shown will contain your publisher code. If a visitor clicks on them, your adsense account will be credited with the click/sale.
Obviously, the more you post - the more chances you have of your ad being shown and clicked on. Your own ads are NOT shown while your logged in, to prevent accidental clicking.
Finally it's not going to make you a millionaire, but may result in a few extra clicks and impressions. |

Hi Mark
I've only experienced sharing the Ad Revenue on one other site ( see sig ) but not on a forum. Perhaps people should do it more often as I think it does increase the posts, and clicks if any.
Are all of the ads images - I thought that they were banners generated by advertisers and not Google
Kind regards
Brian |

Yes - we switched to adsense image only ads, as we felt they blended in better with the forum theme and produced a more professional image.
Merry Christmas & Kindest Regards

| The image ads are less targetted than standard ads though, Mark have you seen any drop through in the CTR etc (no specific figures obviously). The only ads that are throwing out at the moment for me are debt/money ads... |

Hi AuctionMan
We're still comparing data comparing image/text ads although I will agree sometimes they do appear less targetted.
Overall, I do think they blend with the forum ten times better than previous text ads.
A final decision will be taken shortly on the issue. |

You need to have a google adsense publishers code & enter this code into your profile using the Revenue Sharing button in the AuctionCUT header.
If you do not have a adsense publishers code, the quickest way to apply is to open a blog at blogger.com and apply to google after you've made a few posts. |

| Is there a mod available for using other publishers than Google Adsense. I use YPN and think it would great if you could implement other codes. |
