Hello all

I notice that Ebay is packed with people selling very similar ebooks (with resell rights) and software too. As there are so many around, I wondered if anyone made a profit from selling these? Is there a strong market in ebooks?

Thanks

Welcome to our community Choccy.

That is a good question. It'll be interesting to see how the responses go.

Some niche markets can be very profitable as long as they don't get too crowded. The most profitable ebook sellers use eBay to drive traffic away from eBay and then make more sales down the line to these customers. Lee Mcintyre who's creating a bit of a buzz at the moment uses this method.

Lee's been interviewed for AC - click here for details.

Quote:

6) Any other advice for AuctionCUT members regarding eBay?

Lee: The biggest piece of advice I can give is to use eBay as a marketing tool. If you develop an effective marketing funnel, and then use eBay to drive traffic into that funnel, you're going to dramatically increase your profits.

I'd also advise people to automate everything they possibly can. I'm one of the only people in my niche to use digital delivery and this gives me an incredible competitive advantage. While the competition are sending products manually via email, I am creating new products to take my business forward.

I agree with Lee's point about automation. when you have won an auction for something which can be delivered electronically, then it helps for it to be part of the process. I bought a website once of Ebay and it took me two weeks to get full access to it.

I sold a few. Its hard to balance it out though.

Put a few to auction, only a few sell.....Hard to make real profit in my opinion.

Many of the eBooks have reseller rights and they are flooding the marketplace. I have some I made and copyrighted so I am the only one that can sell them. I plan on writing more. It is better if it is your content.

Write allot, include links and have fun with it! You would be amazed at what people will buy. Try something that you are good at.

This is actually a great opportunity for some to get used to selling items using ebay's service. I have a done a little bit of this and things have worked out great for me. Purchasing the resell rights to ebooks and selling them is by far the easiest way to introduce yourself to online money making opportunities.

Hi Choccy,

you can write your own ebook about a topic you really like and sell it on eBay. It's unique, less competition and does not cost anything except a bit of your time. Create it once and sell it over and over.

Good luck ...
Thomas

Ive sold everything from lingerie, 28" widescreen TVs through to tools including Ebooks and I find Ebooks are the most easiest sell EVER!

I sell ebooks on particular niches I have experience in, so if someone buys it and then can advise them if they have a problem. I sell around £900 of ebboks per week. Its dead simple to automate it, then I use Ebay to upsell other information products to them.

Theres no packing
No problems with the postal service
Cant cliam they havent received it - well they can and some try to dispute it however Paypals buyer/seller protection doesnt cover intangible goods - so a refund is the sellers choice NOT a buyers right.

I agree that a lot of the ebooks out there that are available to sell are hard to sell as you see them everywhere.

I like the comments about writing your own eBook about something you are passionate about or good at.

Everyone is good at something and others are willing to pay to learn about it.

No shipping needed - which is what I like
