Today, I had my paypal account limited due to a "violation" of there user policy. I've read many horror stories at paypalsucks.com but it was actually very simple to sort out. I got my account restored within an hour!

Some advice

- stay calm
- have a backup payment processor (just in case)
- co-operate & do everything you can to get your acc restored.
- argue later

I think the last two are the most important. I needed my account back up as soon as I could so no sales were lost. So I co-operated first, now I'll take up my arguements with them.

I've been using Paypal for sometime now, I don't see any problems with it...they have an awesome service and respond to queries within about 48 hours.

You could always ask your mum or dad to help you out? I thought 16 year old was fine for opening a paypal account. Obviously you have to have your own bank account.

Be careful about using Nochex and other payment methods on eBay, they are not allowed and someone can report you for accepting them.

paypal is fine for ebay transactions, what they cant stop is chargebacks and there is nothing they can do to stop them as its to do with the persons credit card company. Its a pain, but they get charged too for chargebacks. If your account is restricted...its because there is an open dispute on the account. Get them sorted and you'll be fine.....if you get the "parting ways" email....you will not be able to use them again as they have worked the percentages out and you are a credit risk.
