|
|
If you aren't already an eBaY seller than you might want to consider these tips for immediate results.
• Choose a seller's I.D. that is simple but none threatning. I wouldn't suggest 'Race543' because it is too hard to want to recall! O.k. And you can always change the I.D. in 30 days!
• Go ahead and create an AboutMe page even if you aren't really polished up on the content. Seldom do buyers really look there, but the ME icon is very reassuring in the auction's page.
• Make use of the hit counter in the auctions so you can watch people's movements. This will give feedback about your auction's traffic patterns.
• Try making-up your auctions' headlines using a hot button first (grabber) and with a hot button last (benefit). eg. Good Cigars w/ Free Shipping
That's starting with the 'grabber' called Good in this example, and finishing with a 'benefit' called Free Shipping.
• Take alot of pictures of the goods you are selling but don't worry about perfection. And try to keep your descriptions short and to the point. Don't worry about offering all the details about your methods of billing and shipping. eBaYer's typically pay with PayPal and don't really say much about service unless their is a problem. Don't wait! and ship those articles out fast!
• Sell a few auctions for break-even, so you can relax without having seller's stress! But your should always try to sell merchandise that is above three dollars and closer to $9.99. Why? If your auction closes too low than you are beat by the seller's fees. Conversely, don't put your article's opening price into the next fee range. $10.+ will cost you more in fees, so lower the price into the next lower range of fees. You can add a small amount to the s/h to recover your difference. And do this for most of your opening bid ranges. Alright.
• When you send merchandise to a customer, they should recieve your seller's I.D.. in the box /mailer.
• Relax and do what is right!
These are some of the basics for getting immediate results as a startup eBaY entreprenuer. I have additional information that will get things going even faster. I need to recover my notes in the morning. Hopefully, if I can find them at all.
Any questions?
Thanks.

Hello About Me, welcome to the Auction Cut community.
You have certainly shared plenty of information here. How well has this knowledge worked for you? How are your sales at eBay?
Thanks for the tips.

Hi Jim,
I believe that what I submitted on this forum:
1. startup, 2. boost 3. advanced 4. extreme
Are more of a perception selling approach
than actually an attempt to manipulate Ebay.
Alright.
Funny, I had the good fortune to co-create a
program called 'It' with a seller in Mi.. Regrettably, |
we did not follow are guts about making it a reality!
8 Months later the idea became a major hit
for Ebay.
I have helped big sellers' improve their
performances on Ebay successfully. I would
send an email to big sellers telling them
that I would improve their game. It was
hard play, and that's why I know a little
about Ebay marketing. O.k.
Ebay forbids emails to others now!
AboutMe: If you took all my sales and combined
them into one month than I would say
that you worked hard and made some
money.
I will be ramping up sales in the next
month and I invite AuctionCUT members
to watch me win or loose! lol
Don't forget to see my custom pages
for some interesting articles about
selling on Ebay!
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Dave
