|
|
AuctionCUT is an ideal venue for marketing any ebay or related auctions business, whether online or offline. I welcome members who want the opportunity to use AuctionCUT to promote their business to our members.
However, certain rules MUST be followed in order to prevent AuctionCUT from becoming a spam filled forum and to continue to produce a pleasant environment for all our members & guests.
What Can't Be Done
A simple posted url alone will NOT get you any business, click-thoughs or earn you any credibility as someone to do business with. Furthermore, any posts of this nature will be DELETED by an administrator.
Firstly, do NOT reply to existing posts with the intentions of advertising. You can open a new thread for this purpose but only in the Announcements & Advertisements category. Live website links can not be posted unless you have made three posts. If you try to avoid this rule, or bypass it by making irrelevants posts they will be DELETED as will any advertisement threads you've created.
Affiliate links are not permitted. You may promote affiliate programs via redirected domain names or services such as tinyurl. Any established and profitable affiliate marketer will be doing this anyway. Once again, those who ignore this will their posts DELETED or have their post edited to remove the affiliate link.
What Can Be Done
If you open a new thread, within the Advertisements and Annoucements category to promote your business take your time to sell the opportunity.
Include information such as:
- What it offers?
- The Cost Associated with the purchase?
- Benefits?
- Special Offers for AuctionCUT members
- Why your offer is important to this community
The more information you add, the more likely someone is likely to respond & convert to a sale. Pre-selling is an essential part of converting any visitors to sales.
PEOPLE BUY FROM THOSE WHO THEY KNOW, OR THOSE THEY THINK THEY KNOW.
I cannot stress this fact enough. Take your time to establish yourself in the forum and build some credibility for yourself. By helping members who request help and posting general, trustworthy and helpful posts for others, you will soon become a valued member of the forum & people will get to know and trust you.
Introduce yourself to the forum. If you are in a position to be advertising or promoting an auction related business, then it's pretty certain that you will have some knowledge useful to other members. Use it to your advantage, share your knowledge and assist other members where possible. Every post you make will build credibility for yourself and your business.
Keep in mind, that other members can easily see your post count. If you register on the forum purely to promote your business other members will not be responsive to your advertisement.
After you've made three posts, you can add a link to your signature, allowing yourself to promote your business while replying to posts and initiating new threads.
Conclusion
I don't want to make it hard for anyone who has a genuine interest in marketing their eBay business on AuctionCUT. However, while marketing is acceptable - spamming the forum is NOT.
Thanks for your co-operation. Happy Advertising!
