Hi to all of you. Obviously I'm the next vitim of ebay's custommer "support"

How about everyone to discribe his problem with ebay briefly and I will summon all the bad experience and will try to publish it in the newspapers in UK, USA, Germany etc.

Why should we let them treat us as criminals??? Everyone should have the right to difend. If they want us to pay the fees they should let us trade on their site!!!

Well I'm just one of the many whose accounts has been supended!
Why? - have no idea. Just trying to get their response. But most probably it will either not come or will not make sense!
I have many accounts there but that is not the point.
I think that when someone is paying for a service he should get what he has paid for! Well I've paid my fees like most of you but befor even one of my deals was closed they decided to suspend the account and send these nasty emails to all clients! That is not fair! Who are they to tell the customers to stop the paiment and not deal with me??? Do they know me? - no! so how can they tell that I'm a criminal?!!! Well I'm just a frustrated customer that has paid them and did not get what I had paid for! That was not mentioned in their terms and conditions! I really will defend my rights!
The first thing will be to publish an add in the newspapers all around the world - How ebay treats its "Custommers"

If anyone is willing to join and share - you are more than welcome!

Too bad we didn't get a reply out of this eBay user. 99% of the time, people bring these problems on themselves through their own actions.

I know the UK Customer (lack of) Support has a bad reputation, but there are always two sides to every story!

Did anyone find out which policy the OP was alleged to have breached?

Nice rant though!!

Hi,
I have had my listings cancelled by Ebay, but never suspended, and it was because I copied photo's when I was selling makeup stuff... a few years back. They sent me an explanation and a link to the security copyright information. I was "p#()*#)%*" BUT at the same time, I did copy photo's from a cataloge, which I have seen others do, but I got caught. So now I take all my own photo's as painful as it can be at times. I think Ebay is overpriced, but they have treated me fairly in the past three years. Smile Sorry to hear that this happened to you.

I've been targeted by so many scams as a buyer and seller that I've lost count. Getting either ebay or paypal to do anything has been a total waste of time.
The latest three scams however has been as a seller and as a result I had to cancel my credit card and bank account then setup new ones and won't be using ebay again.
First was a BuyNow or best offer item I sold for £500.00 After sending the total amount invoice, ebay sent me an email to say that the buyer was not a member. Then they instantly removed all trace of the transaction from their site and invoiced me for all fees.
Second was another BuyNow item which sold for £25000.00 and again I sent a final amount invoice and this time ebay emailed to say that the buyer wasn't who he claimed to be and again removed all trace of the transaction and also told me they had informed all others who had made offers that the item had actually been sold. Naturally I got another invoice for Final Value Fees
The third was for £400.00 and followed the exact same route as the second.
This all happened within the space a few days and despite sending numerous emails I got nowhere but still had an invoice from ebay for several hundred pounds of Final Value Fees.
Trading Standards said they had no powers to do anything but advised that as ebay had invoiced me for Final Value Fees, I should pay the invoice and then take court action against ebay for the £25900.00. They didn't offer to pay the legal fees though.

If we had an award for most sensible post of the month you'd win! Not many will admit they've learnt the hard way & admit their mistakes...

Can I ask what this item was?

..Ebay may have removed all trace, but surely you have copies of the emails sent to you.
Can't understand how they can take a final fee for something they know (and you can prove), didn't sell.

I'm not trying to start WWIII here, but I'm very suspicious of this sort of reporting. It makes no sense for eBay to act as they are alleged to have acted. The price is also something I'm interested in.

What were the items you sold? Do you have your listing URL or item number for any of this?

It just isn't making any sense to me, but I could be way off.

I do not know about where you are, but here in the USA there are thousands of us who have had auctions taken down with no explanation, or with a "stated reason" that we had previously been told was acceptable.

Several weeks ago I had a large heavy item listed as "No shipping, local pickup only". I also stated in the auction that I would deliver for a fee if it was "pre-arranged" before bidding.

"Long story...short" guy 400 miles away sniped the item at close of auction, never responded to any messages, and than on the 7th day paid via PayPal, on an item that was listed as "No PayPal on this item", but did not pay any shipping. I refused to ship till he also paid shipping and handling cost, which he would not pay. He filed a "Paid, Did Not receive item" complaint. Right off so far as Greed-Bay was concerned, I was a criminal! They treated me as one, would not respond to any messages I sent them....only "auto responders", and things got quite nasty. End. Greed-Bay/RobPal, stole the money out of my account, and repaid the funds, without even asking the idiot to pay the shipping.

What happened then? Greed-Bay (some call it e-Bay) than canciled a totally unrelated buying ID that I also had. One that I ONLY used for buying. Said I was a threat to them! Absolutely refuse to respond to any corrispondance....no matter where i address it.

I am learning that there are thousands if not Hundreds of thousands of such cases.

I have another SELLER account with them where I sell a totally unrelated line of items, and they are constantly harrassing me on items there. Constantly removing listings. I did finally get a phone call from someone who indetified herself as a "customer relations" supervisor and we discussed my auctions at length. We went over several, and she spiciffically told me that they were ok. What happens? a few weeks later my site is wiped clear. I was notified that I was Suspended for one day! That was nearly 3 weeks ago, and to this date they have not restored it.

Greedbay said it was suspended. They did not say it was removed! When something is "suspended" it is held in the air....or something simular, NOT removed completely.

The EVIL GODS who run Greed-Bay now are a far cry from what the site was designed to be by the GENTLEMAN who designed it. As things are now, they are a FAR CRY from the original intent for e-Bay.

ONLY BY UNIFYING TOGETHER AND PRESENTING OUT CASE TO NATIONAL AUTHORITIES CAN WE MAYBE ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING!!

How did they pay with Pay-pal without you listing it as an option in the auction?
